Should be drop a litlle bah. Bcos HCI also drop a bit.

Looks like generally, all COP drop by 2-3 points as compared to last year

But why EESIS cut-off remain as 261 from an earlier post?[/quote]From what i remember, earlier post in other thread actually said EESIS COP drop from 263 to 261

You will know immediately from the school you appeal to if the difference is 1 or 2 points although MOE said that the results will be out end Dec or early Jan. Both my students (they were cousins) got their grandfather to appeal for them to TKSS 4 years ago and managed to get in after interviews etc. Their points were quite off but did very well in the school. If you can convince the principal and your child shows that he or she is willing to work hard and do the school proud, you should have no problem. Use your sincerity and communication skills to the fullest. Good luck. :xedfingers:

But not all schools would be interviewed by principal right ? Some would have a commitee (consist of about 2 to 4 deans or teachers) interviewing the child.

I suppose different schools different styles. But whatever style it is, you have to convince the party who interview you. Like tutormum said \"Use your sincerity and communication skills to the fullest.\".

          Good luck

RI started accepting appeal application immediately after released of PSLE results i.e. 26 Nov. Is there anyone or know of anyone who already got accepted since then? Does anyone know how many vacancies they have for appeal cases?

            Thanks in advance

Hmmm ... What happen??? Any update? :?

Most Kiasuparents here got these two schools thru DSA liao. The rest are the sky high T-score type. Result wont shows cut-off.

Yep ! Yep ! I was in NJC for my first 3 months of JC and I was looked down by them greatly, the teachers and students. The first thing they checked was which school you were from ........ dealing with the students and staff for 3 months was already long enough .... .and for parents to dealing for 6 years, headache ..... and new students slowly got into the same old NJC style ..... Told myself then, I will have a good uni local degree, need not go overseas, AND WITHOUT EDUCATION FROM NJC and I did .... NTU first class and I AM NOT FROM NJC .... ha ha ha !!! Kang Pai !!! :celebrate:

Sorry to hear about your experience. I studied at NJC in the late '80s. Hardly had any interactions with the staff. My commerce stream and languages teachers were very friendly.

I have called NJC a couple of times this year. Attitude was ok. A Mrs Goh from the JH student admission dept is very friendly.

Like many other sch where the admin staff are of a certain age, speed n flexibility is compromised. We just have to give and take.

Hubby has a biz associate whose daughter is in NJC JH 1st year. She loves the teachers, young and old. As long as the teachers are good, I think I can tolerate the admin staff. JMHO

Through this thread, the COP for IP schools are:
                    NHS - 258
                    RGS - 260
                    RV - 251
                    RI - 259
                    HCI - 257
                    NYGS - 263
                    ACS(I) - 255 (IB)
                    NJC - 257

                    :!:

You can call the MOE hotline : 68722220 & they will tell you the COP. I called up NJC this morning asking if I can appeal for my son if he did not choose the school at all & the lady staff there was very very unfriendly. :x She said she doesn't see any reason why i should appeal if NJC is not in the 6 choices at all. Worst, after hearing my son's agg. 257, she said the COP this year is above 257, bull shit. Simply asking you to give up. The school doesn't know the COP yet cos' when I called up Dunman High, the friendly staff told me they do not know the COP yet most probably in the afternoon. I will appeal for DHS instead.:

I called NJC a few times earlier this year. The staff were ok, and friendly, wat.

erm, I'm another NJC alumni (90s) - and I joined after 1st 3 months. Never had problems with 'which school u're from', or even the fact that I was in a 'not as good' JC in the 1st 3 months.

In fact, I became on pretty good terms with the teachers. And as far as my experience goes, it's not where you hail from, but rather what you're doing/where you're going onto next that is important.
