Estéema:
Tricky bit is when u rent out those properties - ensure yr tenants are not using that address. Vice-versa for tenants - ensure yr landlord has not or are not using the same address for P1 registration.
I believe tenant can use the address for registration but the landlord can't.
The tenant is legally staying in the address whereas the landlord isn't. -
You’re right. So, as tenants also must be very careful to verify with agents before signing TA bcoz landlord may hv used it a year ago & forgot? Better be sure than be sorry.
-
The LL is the one who will be in trouble if they used it to apply for a school only a year ago, "forgot" and moved far away from the school. LL must keep to the 30 month rule if they used the address for own kid’s registration.
However, the LL can move to another house within the same distance and rent out their first unit to tenants who want to apply the same schools. No issue.
He/ she must inform the school & MOE when they move within the 30 months. NRIC must update address.
No harm asking the LL but legally the tenants are not affected even if they didn’t ask. -
Dear all,
Any idea if we have to stay in the >1km place for how long to be considered as valid for Phrase 2C registration? -
Lucasmeganmummy:
I don't think there's a minimum period before registration date. MOE only imposed minimum occupancy period from the registration date.Dear all,

I think it doesnt matter whether how many properties you have. Judging from the egov website, you can only move to the same area with the same distance to the prev. school registered for the rest of the phrase 2c, 2cs even though u failed phrase 2b.
And I am thinking if thats the case, would that make any difference if u change address. unless u have same property that are within the same area with same distance circumference to phrase 2b school.floppy:
Yup.cherrygal:
Fraud is only if you use the address and don't live in it.
Therefore, if you own 2 or 3 properties, you could use 1 address for Phase 2B registration, update to another for Phase 2C registration, and update to the last for Phase 2Cs registration. You will then move in and stay in the one that you got in via distance priority. -

[quote=\"levinakit\"]Dear All,
Is it possible to register different addresses for Phase 2B and Phase 2C.
Using this example, we would like to apply for Nanyang Primary under Phase 2B using the rented condo address which is <1km but unfortunately we did not get in during the balloting process.
Then we change address back to our HDB address to register for Phase 2C for the nearby neighbourhood school.
Technically can be done but legally it should not be done because in the eyes of the law you are committing fraud. If MOE initiates investigation you might get into trouble.
Nevertheless you could still give it a try at your own risk. Do update us on the outcome!
Thanks -

I rmbr when we register for P1, one set of parents next to us was told to go change address @ police post/station then can register as system will not accept couple with different address.floppy:
